Community: CAREspace is designed to support the mental health needs of Riverside County students, families, schools, and the community.

Access: CAREspace seeks to eliminate barriers by providing access to services through our CAREspace, TAY Centers, via telehealth, at your school site, or in the community.

Relationships: Riverside County Office of Education has partnered with several community agencies to provide professional mental health services and resources. 

Emotional Wellness: CAREspace encourages emotional wellness and self-care to reduce stress and increase resiliency.

CAREspace supports the vision of the Riverside County Office of Education's Mental Health Initiative which was launched in 2020 by Riverside County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Edwin Gomez. CAREspace offers: individual counseling, family counseling, Lucky PAWS, parent workshops, classroom presentations, staff training, resources and referrals. All of our services are listed on our website www.rcoe.us/carespace with a brief description. Please remember we do not provide crisis support. If you need immediate assistance, please contact 911 or the national suicide prevention lifeline at 988 or 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

CAREspace offers services Monday through Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm (excluding holidays) with flexible evening hours to support student and family needs.

Yes! We serve all of Riverside County, and we appreciate you helping us distribute CAREspace information to our community.

No, a student or family needs to complete a referral for themselves if they are interested in receiving services from CAREspace. Please access the online referral form on the CAREspace website (www.rcoe.us/carespace). They can also call us at 951-276 CARE (2273), and we will assist them with the referral.

Yes, these services are designed specifically for groups of students or staff. Classroom presentations are focused on student related topics. Staff training presentations are focused on staff related topics and professional development. The referral is located on the CAREspace website (www.rcoe.us/carespace). You can also call us at 951-276 CARE (2273) and we can email you the referral.

RCOE has partnered with the Riverside Latino Commission and Riverside University Health System Behavioral Health to provide mental health and related services. Our counselors and social workers are Licensed or Associates with the appropriate level of supervision. All of our providers have extensive experience providing mental health and related services to students, families, schools, and the community.
