- Tailored support including one-on-one coaching with a skilled, veteran administrator provided by the program. Networking opportunities with job-alike peers, and individualized professional learning experiences.
- The candidate’s (a) Individual Induction Plan (IIP) connected to LCAP priority areas and (b) culminating portfolio both represent active leadership development grounded in the California Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSEL).
- CalAPA support is available for those who did not complete/pass any cycle during their preliminary program.
Clear Administrative Services Credential Program
The School of Education at RCOE provides the California Administrative Services Credential (CASC) Program, a two-year, job-embedded, individualized coaching program for recently hired school administrators working under the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC). New administrators must begin a CASC Program within one year of beginning an administrative position.
The RCOE School of Education is proud to offer the largest and most comprehensive administrator preparation programs in the state of California.
Program Overview
Our exceptional research-based program is individualized, providing each candidate the opportunity to showcase administrative and operational knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to effectively lead, manage, and improve educational organizations.
Enrolling candidates must:
- Currently, be employed in an administrative position.
- Possess (1) a valid Preliminary Administrative Services Credential or (2) a Certificate of Eligibility with a letter from the employing district verifying that the application process for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential has begun.
- Enroll in a Clear Administrative Services Credential Program within one year of starting an initial administrative position.
Here is a comprehensive list of the application components you will need to complete and provide:
- CASC Application
- CASC Payment Plan Agreement
- District Supervisor Acknowledgement
- Letter of Interest
- Verification of Employment (Official Letter From Employer on Letterhead Verifying Administrative Employment)
- Current Resume
- Copy of Preliminary Credential (or District Letter Stating Application in Process)
- Passing Scores of California Administrative Performance Assessment (CalAPA), Proof of Deferral, or Proof of Enrollment in PASC Program Prior to May 31, 2019
- A $500 Non-refundable* Deposit is Due With the Application
