Passport Professional Development Program

The Passport to Success and Passport to Quality professional development programs are designed to intentionally engage early care and education professionals with training and support to foster success in their programs. Both Passports are open to anyone wanting to start a child care business, family child care home providers, child care center staff and administrators, and anyone working with children.

Passport to Success provides initial training along key concepts that are essential in working with children. Topic areas include: Strengthening Families, Early Literacy, Social Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (SEFEL), and many more. For more information on how to be involved in the Passport to Success program, please see the flyer below.

Passport to Quality provides deeper dive trainings that were introduced in the Passport to Success program. This professional development pathway is designed to highlight areas of quality such as content supporting innovative practices, engaging with children, creating supportive environments for all students, and leadership. For more information, please email RandR@rcoe.us.

Additional Professional Development Training Opportunities

In addition to the Passport Professional Development Program, Early Care and Education offers Quality Early Learning Services Symposiums throughout the year. These Symposiums cover various areas of early education content and allow all participants to attend all learning sessions, so everyone has the opportunity to hear all training being offered. Previous Symposium content areas have included STEAM in early learning environments, Supporting Foster Youth, Your Leadership Toolbox, Play Based Learning, and Creating Environments for All Learners Through Literacy.
