Behavioral Health Services

The Riverside County Office of Education Behavioral Health Services (BHS) Unit leads the efforts for CAREspace as part of our Superintendent's Mental Health Initiative which serves all 23 Riverside County school districts. The BHS Unit also leads our Behavioral Health Team, which provides direct behavioral health services to students and families within RCOE’s internal programs.

Learn About the Behavioral Health Team

The Behavioral Health Team delivers both direct behavioral health services and non-clinical support to students across our internal programs, including Alternative Education, Special Education, Career Technical Education, and Early Education Services.

The Behavioral Health Team is committed to expanding services to better meet the needs of our students and families. This team is the first in RCOE’s history to create and hire a licensed therapist (April 2023), Associate Therapist (August 2024), and Wellness Coach (TBD). Through this team, we have established a career lattice that enables individuals passionate about supporting the mental health needs of students to build a sustainable career within these roles, while also providing opportunities for career advancement through each position.
