Michael's Message

I am humbled and honored to be the recipient of this award and recognition. A successful facilities program cannot happen without the support of amazing and dedicated people; from our Board of Trustees, Executive Cabinet, Facilities department, District Staff, thank you! I’d like to recognize our Superintendent, Dr. Christi Barrett, thank you for leading Hemet USD to be laser-focused on staying true to the District’s mission and vision. To our Deputy Superintendent, Darrin Watters, thank you for always believing in me, for your encouragement and entertaining my sometimes creative and color(ful) ideas. I put my heart into our projects and thrive in creating new and/or improved learning spaces for our current and future students which will support them in their educational journey and future successes. Thank you to my wife, Monica and my awesome daughters for your love and support, without which, I would not be able to participate in this important work.
