RCOTA Negotiations Update
We are pleased to announce that a ratified agreement has been reached for the 2025–2026 school year between RCOTA and RCSS.
Updated language reflects the following increases:
Benefits:
- Employer’s monthly health insurance contribution: Increased from $1,072 to $1,225 monthly
- Annual medical stipend (with proof of insurance): Increased from $1,800 to $1,900 annually
Salary:
- An ongoing salary increase of 1% beginning with the November pay warrant.
- RCOTA Members employed on the date of ratification will receive a one-time, off-schedule payment of $1000 distributed in the October pay warrant.
A few minor updates were also made to other RCOTA contract articles, which will appear on the website in the updated Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) once available.
Recruiting the Best
Personnel Services staff have been working with program staff to ensure quality instruction in the classroom by sound recruitment, selection, and certification of teachers and support staff for the more than 450 classrooms operated by the Riverside County Office of Education.
Qualified teachers have been hired from throughout California and from other states. With a nationwide shortage of special education teachers, recruitment for these scarce individuals will continue throughout the school year.
Current vacancies can be found on our Employment Opportunities web page.
