The Logistics Department plans, coordinates, and executes activities between multiple units to ensure efficient use of resources to complete requests in a timely manner. The goal of the Logistics Department is to provide extraordinary customer service and support to Riverside County Office of Education students, staff, and charters.
The Asset Management unit is responsible for maintaining the RCOE asset database as mandated by California Education Code and Federal guidelines. The RCOE asset database consists of 29,000 in-use assets in 513 asset locations throughout the county.
To transfer RCOE property between RCOE locations or property managers, submit a Service Request ticket at Support: RCOE Support.
The RCOE mailroom with a staff of 4 courier clerks supports processing, sorting and delivery of letters and packages for RCOE’s 13 sites throughout the county. The Mailroom works closely with USPS, FedEx, and UPS to provide a wide range of delivery services.
The Riverside County Office of Education operates a 7,000 square foot warehouse facility and provides logistical support to Riverside County Office of Education staff and students. Typical functions include:
Central Receiving and Distribution
The warehouse is responsible for the central receiving, delivery, and follow-up of purchase orders for all RCOE programs.
Surplus Property
RCOE’s surplus personal property program offers RCOE programs, Riverside County school districts and community based non-profit organizations the opportunity to salvage surplus items for operational needs. Organizations interested in viewing available items may email warehouse@rcoe.us.
Custodial
The warehouse supports custodial services by ordering, maintaining inventory and delivering custodial supplies to custodians at their work site location.
Work Orders
The warehouse assists RCOE programs with relocation of large items, classroom moves, and delivery of materials for events. To submit a Service Request, please use Support: RCOE Support.
PrintWorks, with a staff of three technicians, provides typesetting, copy/print, binding and large format printing services in support of educational efforts coordinated by the Riverside County Office of Education. Our goal is to provide quality print services and products in a timely, cost-effective manner, utilizing available resources to meet customer needs.

The Records Management Unit maintains the archive of physical and digital information resources for the organization. The objectives of the Records Management Unit are to process recorded information as efficiently as possible, provide record storage at the lowest possible cost, render extraordinary customer service to clients, and ensure that all records management activities comply with federal, state, and local statutes.

The department staffs a full-time technician to monitor and assist with the maintenance and replacement of RCOE’s vehicle fleet. Eight vehicles are available for daily check-out by RCOE employees for business use. The vehicles are made available on a first-come, first-served basis.
